In south Indian People had a traditional healthy habit of taking oil bath to keep their good health... The traditional oil bath is also called as various named in india... Sesame oil bath, Ennai kuliyal, Ayurvedic oil bath, Gingelly oil head bath, Saturday oil bath, etc... It is nothing but massaging the head and body upto toe with heated sesame oil along with spices... Later they will be remove by the applications of herbal powder ( shikakai) and warm water...
It has many major health benefits, Relaxing, Musular ache, Breaks down scar tissue, Reduces skin infections, Repairing damaged skin cells, Moistuizer skin, Reduce pimples, Slows down the aging of the skin, Act as a natural sunscreen, Clear body heat, etc.. In a week wednes day and saturday is ideal for mens and tuesday and friday is ideal for womens...Within 3 hours from the sunrises is most suitable to take oil bath.. Apply small quantity of oil to the head and massage it for 15 mins and again take small oil and massage over the body and let it rest for 1 hour (kids 20 mins) and bath in warm water with shikakai powder for head and gram flour / kadalai mavu for body...
Here I heat the oil and add in cumin seeds / Jeerakam, Fenugreek seeds / Vendayam, Shallots / Ulli, Garlic / Poodu, Red chilli / Vathal... fry them in low flame, cool the completely and apply it...
Cumin seeds - Maintaining the proper blood content levels in the body, immunity..
Fenugreek seeds - Prevents hair loss, Fight dandruff, Premature graying, Lighten your skin tone, cool your body...
Shallots - Prevents or treat allergies, Skin became soft..
Garlic - Acne, pimples and spot, Blackhead & white head removal, Stretch mark removal and Vitamins E,C,B1,B6..
Red chilli - Vitamin A, C, B6.. Regenerates damage cells, Tolerance the outer exposure, activates hair growth, reducing bladness, Potassium soothes, hydrates skin, blood vessels stronger...

INGREDIENTS :
Sesame oil / Gingelly oil / Nallennai - 1 cup
Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tbspn
Fenugreek seeds / Vendayam - 1 tbspn
Garlic - 10 to 12 cloves
Shallots / Ulli / Small onions - 10 to 12
Dry red chilli - 2 nos
METHOD :
- Heat a sesame oil in a small pan..
- Once oil is hot add in cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds..
- Allow to splutter and add in garlic and shallots and fry till light golden..
- Then immediately switch off the flame and the oil reaches up to bubbles.
- Suddenly add in dry chilli and mix well.
- Don't let the spices burns..
- Cool down to room temperature..
- Remove the fried garlic from the oil and serve to the your kids..
- (My kids really enjoyed it)
- Now massage it on your scalp and over the body..
- Enjoy your oil bath....

Fry till light golden
Slow the flame
Like this
Switch off the flame
It bubbles up
Add in chilli
Mix it well
Now it's done
Take out the fried garlic
Transfer them into abowl
Serve to your kids
Enjoy
