Restaurant Style Mushroom Munchurian Gravy

 

This is a mouth watering resturant dish.. I love all indo chinese recipes so this is not an exception.. I made this for lunch few days back and served it with chapathi and loved it to the core... My hubby is a great fan of all type of manchurian and his stable order in restaurants is mushroom manchurian... 


You can make manchurian either gravy or semi dry or dry version.. I have tried these types in my blog... I love manchurian as a sidedish for fried rice or chapathi or dry as starter...

INGREDIENTS :

Button mushroom - 200 gms (cut into medim size pieces)
Oil - for frying
Spring onion - for garnishing

FOR BATTER : 

All purpose flour / Maida - 1 cup
Corn flour / corn starch - 1/2 tspn
Black pepper powder - 1 tspn
Salt - as needed
Water - as needed

FOR SAUCE :

Butter - 2 tspn
Cinnamon sticks - 2 (small)
Garlic - 5 cloves (chopped)
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Onion - 1 (sliced into squares)
Capsicum - 1/2 (sliced into squares)
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Chilli sauce - 1 tspn
Tomato sauce - 2 tspn
Corn flour / Corn starch - 2 tspn
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Salt - as needed
Sugar - 1 tspn

METHOD :

  • Heat oil for deep frying..
  • Start by making batter by mixing all ingredients given in the list "FOR BATTER" to a smooth thick paste..
  • Add in chopped mushrooms and mix well.
  • Drop in hot oil and fry till golden, drain and set aside..
  • Now add in butter in a kadai, add in cinnamon sticks, garlic, green chillies allow to fry for 30 sec..
  • Add in onion, capsicum and saute it for 2 mins..
  • Then add in chilli powder, chilli sauce and tomato sauce...
  • Give a mix and add in fried mushrooms, and toss it for 3 mins in low flame..
  • Add in some salt and sugar and mix well.
  • Till the mushroom coated well with the sauce..
  • In a mixing bowl add in corn starch and add in some water, mix well.
  • Now add to the mushroom and mix well.
  • When it became thick gravy consistency, add in chopped coriander leaves..
  • Garnish with spring onion.. Serve with Chapathi..
  • Enjoy...

PICTORIAL :


 Clean the mushroom and cut into small pieces
 In a bowl add batter ingredients
 Make it a thick paste by adding water
 Add in mushroom
 Mix well
 Fry it in oil, till golden
 Drain it
 Take your Sauce ingredients
 Add some butter in a pan
 Add in cinnamon sticks
 Add in some chopped garlic
 Some chopped chilli
 Toss it for 1 min
 Add in onion and capsicum
 A little bit of chilli powder
 Add in tomato sauce and chilli sauce
 Mix well for 2 mins in low flame
 Add in fried mushroom
 Mix it evenly
 Add in salt and sugar
 Add in corn starch water
 Pour it to the gravy
 Mix well evenly
 Add in chopped coriander leaves
 When it became thick switch off the flame
 Transfer it into a serving bowl
 Serve hot with chapathi

Mixed vegetable Raita / Mixed Veg Raita


Raita is an indian salad dresses with thick yogurt usually served with Parathas or Briyani or Pulao or Mixed Rice Varieties..My briyani meal is incomplete without a raita.... I made this veg raita to go along with mutton briyani and it was a great combination.. 


There is no specific measurement for this recipe just add the veggies as per your preference and your colourful mixed veg raita is ready....This hearty curd preparation is filled with colour, flavour and nutritional goodness... So i hope that you must try this recipe and let me know how it's turns out from you...

INGREDIENTS :

Curd - 1 cup
Roasted jeera powder - 1/4 tspn
Chilli powder - 1/8 tspn 
Carrot - 2 tbspn (grated)
Capsicum - 1 1/2 tbspn (finely chopped)
Tomato - 2 tbspn (chopped finely) 
Onion - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Salt - as needed

METHOD :

  • Get all your ingredients ready...
  • Take curd in a mixing bowl, whisk it well.
  • Add in salt and roasted jeera powder and mix well.
  • Add all the chopped veggies, then coriander leaves and give a quick mix..
  • Tansfer it into a serving bowl and sprinkle some chilli powder over the raita..
  • Chill the raita untill serving time..
  • Serve and enjoy..

 Prepare all your veggies
 Take curd in a bowl
 Add in salt
Some roasted jeera powder
 Whisk well
 Now it's done
 Add in onion, capsicum, tomatoes
 Fold gently
 Add in grated carrot
 Coriander leaves
 Mix well
 Transfer it into a serving bowl
 Sprinkle some chilli powder
 Now it's done

Vanilla Cake With Coffee Patisssrie Cream Trfile


Vanilla cake with coffee patisserie cream trifle... were welcome at party or any guest at home.. The deep sensual fragrance of splitting a plump amount of coffee powder make the day perfect while having... Here i using plain vanilla cake but you can use chocolate cake, Ladyfingers or any other cakes..




This recipe is quite same as much as tiramisu recipe, but it is more like individual serving and made in a beautiful trifle glass or stem glasses... I love this version of making trifle, because it looked more cute and photogenic... The cool thing about the trifle is easily portable, where ever you need to and it is very handy as well...

Chilling time : 1 to 2 hours

INGREDIENTS :

Vanilla cake - 2 cups (crumbs)
Whipping cream - 1 cup (I use Milky mist)
Sugar - 3 tbspn
Water - 1/2 cup
Instant coffee powder - 2 tbspn
Cocoa powder - as needed for topping...
Red cherry - as needed for topping..

(MY ONE CUP MEASURE 240 ML)

METHOD :

  • First take cream in a bowl and use a beater to whip it up till it is thick.. set aside..
  • Take your vanilla cake or any other cake in a plate and crush it with your fingers.. keep aside.
  • In a sauce pan add sugar, coffee powde and some water, allow to boil and the sugar completely dissolve..
  • Transfer it into a cup and Chill this up for 20 mins...
  • Now take whipped cream and add in 2 tbspn of coffee liquid in a mixing bowl..
  • Now fold over, this gently..
  • Take your glass, add some crumbs vanilla cake, pour coffee liquid all over it, so it is soaked..
  • Spread the cream mix over this.. now again add in cake crumbs and pour the coffee liquid over it... Spread layer of the cream mix..
  • Now pop this in fridge and let it rest for hour or couple of hours..
  • Now use a small sieve to dust cocoa powder all over it..
  • Place the cherry on the top and serve...


Notes :

  1. Dont overwhip the cream because it will make the seperate and curdle..
  2. You can use any sponge cake...It may not be traditional, but still it will taste great..
  3. You can use mascarpone cheese along with the cream mixture..
  4. You can make the coffee as strong as you like... 


PICTORIAL :


Take all your ingredients
Take your cake make it crumbs with your hands
Take your cream
Take it in a mixing bowl
Use a beater to whip this up
Whip till the cream is thick
Take sugar in a sauce pan
Add in coffee powder
Add in water
Bring to boil
Till the sugar dissolved
Now it's done, let it chill for 20 mins
Now take some cream in a bowl 
Add some coffee liquid
Mix it evenly
Now it's done
Now take your glass
Take some cake crumbs in the bottom like this
Pour some coffee liquid 
Now it is soak nicely
Spoon some cream
Again add some cake crumbs on the top of the cream
Now pour some coffee liquid
It is nicely soaked up
Spread some more cream mix
Spread it evenly and chill it for 1 hour
Now before serving, take sieve with cocoa powder
Dust come cocoa powder
Top with cherry
Serve chill
