Divine vanilla and chocolate truffle cake


Chocolate truffle cake is a quick and easy yet exotic dessert of sugar soaked chocolate sponge sandwiched and chocolate all over with a deep and delicious chocolate truffle icing... But for a twist I made this sponge with vanilla and pineapple flavour because i made this cake for my anniversary celebration and i dedicated this cake to my loveable hubby....


Because he like vanilla sponge with chocolate truffle icing so i prepared this Divine vanilla and chocolate cake to him. While the intense chocolate flavour is enough to please the diners, I can add to the magic by spending little time on the decoration and garnishing. 


Decorate the cake with swirls of whipped cream with chocolate icing in layer of cake and melted chocolate truffle on the outside layer of the cake which gives delicious moist and quick cake to satisfy some desire for sweetness. In each bite of this cake.. (will someone please tell me how to pronounce that word ????) no words to tell.

Preparation time : 10 mins
Baking time : 45 mins
Makes - 10 pieces of cake

INGREDINTS : 

All purpose flour / maida - 300 grams
Sugar - 300 grams
Butter - 80 grams
Eggs - 8
Cake jell - 15 grams
Baking powder - 2.5 grams
Vanilla essence - 1 tspn
Pineapple essence - 1 tspn

FOR CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE :

Dark chocolate bar - 1/2 kg
Milk - 250 ml

FOR BETWEEN THE LAYER :

Chocolate - 1 cup (melted)
Whipped cream - 1 cup
Chocolate chips - few
Sugar syrup - 200 ml (water -175 ml, sugar - 3 tbspn)

METHOD :


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree f for 15 mins...
  • First broken all the eggs in the bowl and keep aside.
  • Mix flour and baking powder combained and set aside.
  • Pour vanilla and pineapple essence to a bowl and set aside.
  • Melted the butter and set aside.



  • In mixing bowl add sugar, eggs and beat well till it fluffy.
  • Then add in cake jell, no stop continious whipping the eggs.
  • Add in flour mixture in to the mixing bowl and continious whipping.
  • Add in essence to the batter and add in melted butter in it..
  • Whipping the batter till it became soft and shiny.
  • Prepare your tray by appling butter and parchment paper on it..
  • Then pour the batter to the tray and bake it..
  • Bake it to 170 degree F for 40 - 45 mins in the oven and check wheather its done by insert a toothpick on it.
  • If it come out clearly the cake is done. Let the cake cool completely.



  • Now ready your whipping cream by beat it till thick. 
  • Mix the melted chocolate and mix well. Set it in the fridge till use.



  • Make the sugar syrup, take sugar and water in a bowl and mix well. syrup done.



  • Now it's time to prepared chocolate truffle by Boiling the milk and add in cutted (chocolate bar into small pieces) chocolate and mix well till it became soft layer. 
  • Then off the stove and drain the truffle and cool the truffle for over night...
  • After that it became cream like consistancy..



  • Now all the ingredints are ready to decorate your cake.
  • Now take cooled cake, slit it into 3 pieces. Place the cake on the cake stand.
  • Now brush the cake with syrup generously. Spread the cake with chocolate whipped cream. Top it with some chocolate chips. 
  • Place another cake on top, Brush the top with some of the syrup again , then whipped topping and chocolate chips. Repeat this for the third layer.
  • Now the cake is half done and another half by chocolate truffle layer...
  • Then spread the chocolate truffle all over the cake, Now melt some truffle and pour it on the top of the cake and sides of the cakes too...
  • keep the whole cake in fridge for 10 mins.
  • Now decorate as your wish and chill this whole cake for 2 - 3 hours.. 
  • Then enjoy with your lovly once...


NOTES :

  1. I added vanilla and pineapple essence for avoid the egg smell in the cake...
  2. I used  9 cm round cake pan. So bake accordingly. If you overbake the cake it will turn brown in colour.
  3. I done this cake in my OTG oven .
  4. Beat the eggs continusely so the cake should be very soft...
  5. The triffle should be kept over night so that the consistancy should be like butter cream frosting..
  6. The cake should be cool completely for making truffle icing...
  7. Decorate as you wish by adding grates chocolate on the top ...

PICTORIAL :


Take ingredints for cake
Pour the eggs in a bowl
Take vanilla and pineapple essence in a bowl
Combain the flour and baking powder 
Melted the butter and set aside
In a mixing bowl add sugar
Then eggs
Start to whip
Whip the eggs well
Add cake jell
Whip up
No need to stop till it became creamy
Add flour mixture
Again whip
Whip evenly
Add your essence
Whip well
Now add in melted butter
Now the batter is done
Prepare your tray
Pour the batter on the tray
Bake it
When it cool invert the cake
Remove the parchment paper
Let it cool completely
Ingredients for truffle
Heat a milk in a pan
Now add in grated chocolate
Mix well
Untill the chocolate dissolved
Now its done
Drain it
Keep it for over night to became thick
See how it's became
Whip the fresh cream
Take some truffle to the cream

Mix evenly
Cut the top of the cake
And into three slices
Now take your sugar syrup
Brush the cake generously
Now spread some chocolate cream
Sprinkle some chocolate chips
Now place another cake over this and repeated the same steps
Done
The third layer
Brush it with sugar syrup
Now spread the chocolate truffle all over the cake
Make some design on the sides too
Now the cake done
Melted some chocolate
Pour on the top
Evenly
Like this (It's so yummy)
Then decorate as your wish
