Goan Prawn Fry


Prawn fry recipe is not the chinese or indo chinese recipe but this is a goan chilli fry recipe..Most goan peoples usually make sea food recipes.. This recipes is quick and easy for mordern housewives, mom to make something quick and delicious at the same time. It could be made as a side dish or main course. Here i use the basic ingredients yet the flavour is mouthwatering.. 


Goan Prawns fry tastes lip smacking with chapathi, rice, appams and dosa. If there is left over which i doubt could be used as stuffing inside sandwich, croquettes,samosa,or grilled sandwiches.The main thing is the marination the prawn with some spices powder, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste that gives more taste to the prawns.. and it is toss well in stone dosa tawa and the taste is delicious and execellant.




The texture has been semi dry and add kashmiri chilli powder that gives deep red colour, here i used small prawns but you could use any size of prawns for this dish.. The only challenges is to cook prawns so add them towards the end as it takes 2 - 3 mins to cook. If prawns are over cooked they tend to taste rubbery.Try this yummy recipe and let me know how it comes out....


Preparation time : 10 mins 
Marination time : 20 mins
Cooking time : 10 mins
Serve : 4
Cuisine : goan 

INGREDIENTS :

Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Red chilli sauce - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves - few ( chopped)

FOR MARINATION :

Small prawns - 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tspn

METHOD :

  • Rinse the prawns, de-vein and de-shell them. 
  • Marinate the prawn with all spices, ginger garlic paste, salt, and lemon juice. keep aside for 20 mins.
  • Mean while take a stone dosa tawa and add oil.
  • Once oil is hot add ginger garlic paste and toss well.
  • Then add in chopped onions and toss well untill it became light brown in colour.
  • Now add in marinated prawns and simmer for 2 mins or untill prawns changes it colour and is cooked.
  • Now add in red chilli sause and toss well.
  • Then add in chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Swith off the gas, check the taste and alter any spices or salt if required.
  • Serve goan prawn fry hot with toasted bread, chapathi, rice or pulao.


PICTORIAL :

Take all your ingredients 
Put marinated items in a bowl
Add in prawns
Mix well
Add in lemon juice
Mix and marinate for 20 mins
Heat a tawa
Add in ginger garlic paste
Add in finely chopped onions
Toss well till brown
Now add in marinated prawns
Leave it for 2 mins
Then mix well
Cooked for 5 mins
Add in red chilli sauce
Mix well
Now add in chopped coriander leaves
Now it's done
Plated to a bowl
Serve with sliced onions
Serve
