Garlic Chicken Dry


This Garlic chicken recipe makes a perfect starter or a side dish to a lunch meals. My new found trick to tenderize the chicken which i learn from my kitchen that works well for this recipe... I soaked the chicken overnight with minced garlic, spice powders along with lemon juice. Which makes me suprise at this soft, tender and tasty chicken.  


This is not any restaurant style chicken dish but it taste is simply awesome and is ideal for a home preparation. Garlic chicken is done within 25 mins... The minced garlic which is sauteed in butter gives excellant taste to you buds.. There are many techniques and variation of the basic recipe for garlic chicken. But i just want it simple and adaptable to my taste.....

Cooking time : 25 mins
Marination time : 4 hours or overnight

INGREDINTS :

Butter - 25 gms
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tspn
Garlic cloves - 7 (minced)
Onion - 2 small (chopped)
Green chilli - 4 (sliced)
Tomato - 1 (chopped)
Lemon - 1/2 
Salt - as needed
Coriander, mint, curry leaves - few 

FOR MARINATION :

Chicken - 1/2 kg (boneless)
Garlic cloves - 20 (minced)
Chilli powder - 2 tbspn
Coriander powder - 1/2 tspn
Garam masala powder - 1 tspn
Red food colour - 1 pinch
Lemon - 1/2 
Salt - 2 tspn

METHOD :

  • Start by marinated the chicken first, take minced garlic, spice powder, lemon juice salt, and give a mix.
  • Now add in chicken and red food colour and mix evenly. It marinate for 4 hours.
  • Heat a kadai with butter, let it melts. Add in fennel seeds, minced garlic saute it well in the butter for a min. 
  • Add in onion and chillies saute it well along with garlic.
  • Then add in chopped tomato and little bit of salt, saut well till it mushy.
  • Place the marinated chicken in a kadai, just give a mix and cover it with lid for 10 mins.
  • When the chicken is half cooked add in coriander, mint curry leaves and mix well.
  • Cook the chicken became soft and tender.
  • Then squeeze the lemon to the chicken and mix evely... 
  • Now it's ready to serve with rice or a starter..

PICTORIAL :

Take your ingredients
Take minced garlic in a mixing bowl
All spices powder and salt
Lemon juice
Mix evenly
Add in chicken
Mix well
Now add in food colour
Done, marinate it for 4 hours...
Now take your ingredients
Heat a pan with butter
Add in feenal seeds
Add in minced garlic
Toss till it became light brown
Add in onion and chilli
Toss well
Now add chopped tomato
Add in salt
Saute it well, till it mushy
Add in marinate chicken
Give a mix
Cover it with lid for 10 mins
After 10 mins the chicken is half cooked
Add in coriander, mint, curry leaves
Mix eveny and leave it for 7 mins
Squeeze some lemon juice
Mix evenly
Cook till the chicken became tender and soft
Now it's done
Serve it hot
Have it... ha..ha..ha...
