Kulcha Recipe / Coriander Kulcha Without oven


Kulcha is a indian bread famous all over the country... Kulchas are normally made in tandoor or oven but this version is gas top which can be easily prepared at home.. It is very famous punjabi recipe and served with indo chinese gravy or butter masala gravy... 


In my fridge I had a plenty of corinader leaves, so I thought for a change, making naan or roti or chapathi, I will try this coriander kulcha as a dinner recipe and match with chilli gobi masala... The result was amazing and my kids totally loved it..

INGREDIENTS :

All purpose flour / Maida - 2 cups
Milk - 1/2 cup
Curd - 3 tbspn
Baking Powder - 1/2 tspn
Baking Soda - 1/4 tspn
Sugar - 1 tbspn
Salt - 1 tspn
Coriander leaves - as needed (finely chopped)
Oil - 1 tbspn
Butter - as needed

METHOD :

  • Take flour in a mixing bowl, add in baking powder, baking soda, mix it evenly..
  • Add in salt, sugar, oil, curd, milk and rub it with your hands..
  • Add in water little by little and gather to make dough.. 
  • Knead well for 2 mins and apply some oil over it and cover it with damp cloth..
  • Rest it for 1 hour and again knead it with your hands for 1 min..
  • Divide the dough into small balls..
  • Chopped some fresh coriander leaves and keep aside..
  • Take a ball dough press it on the chopped coriander leaves and place it on the rolling board..
  • Roll the ball by applying some oil on the rolling board..
  • Roll into oval shape or any shape (don't worry about the shape)
  • Heat a tawa and place the prepared kulcha, cook them on both sides by applying butter..
  • (Flip and cook on both sides)
  • Once you see bubbles and fluffy kulcha , remove from the tawa and serve hot..
  • Enjoy..


PICTORIAL :

 Take flour in a wide mixing bowl
 Add in baking powder
 Add in baking soda
 Mix it well 
 Add in salt
 Add some sugar
 Add some oil
 Mix well and add in curd
 Add some milk
 Give it a good mix
 Pour some water (little by little)
 Knead well with your hands
 It will take 2 mins
 Now the dough is ready
 Spoon some oil over it
 Now it's done
 Cover properly for a hour
 After the dough became soft and fluffy
 Look that soft dough
Knead well for another 1 min
 Divide the dough into small balls
 Take your rolling board and apply some oil
 Take the dough
 Press it on the chopped coriander leaves
 Look that 
 Place it on the board
 Roll the dough into oval shape
 Place it on the hot tawa
 When they started bubble
 Flip it over and cook
 Apply some butter over it
 Again flip it and apply some butter
 Cook till they done
 Remove them to a plate
Serve hot..
