Plain Rava Dosa

Rava dosa is one of the popular south indian dosa variety...The best part of making rava dosa is that it does not require any fermentation and is very easy to make...Rava means suji or semolina, Hence this dosa is named after one of it's main ingredint... Along with semolina, rice flour and all purpose flour are added to the batter. You can make the rava dosa plain or you can spice it up by adding chopped onions, curry leaves, herbs and spices...Another version is onion rava dosa recipe...

At home we prepare the rava dosa in two ways... so in onion rava dosa i added ginger, green chillies, onions to make the dosa more flavourful and tasty...It is crispy and netted texture and crispiness can be achieved if you make the batter thin...So always remember the batter of rava dosa should be thin and easy to flow...And also soaking time for rava, so that they soften. Usually mix every thing and keep the batter for 30 - 40 mins....
