Homemade Bread Crumbs


Bread Crumbs is one of the basic ingredients to have on hand.. Store bought breads crumbs can be quite expensive.. Why do we wants to buy store bought ones when you can easily make them at home using reqular bread slice...There is nothing like homemade bread crumbs to improve the taste of your dish.. 


Here iam sharing two version of bread crumbs which is normally do, fresh one and dry one.. Coating the bread crumbs in balls, cutlets, kababs, fish fingers which can be used in variety of ways.. The fresh bread crumbs are soft in texture.. but the dry bread crumbs are very light and super crunchy...



So i hope that you must try this basic recipe and let me know how it's turns out from you...

Preparation time : 5 mins
Freezing time : 2 hours
Cooking time : 15 mins
Makes - 1 large cup (150 grams)

INGREDIENTS :

Bread Slices - as needed (i use whole wheat bread)

METHOD :

FOR FRESH BREAD CRUMBS :

  • Take bread slices, cut them into squares..
  • Put in the fridge for 2 hours..
  • Now take them in a blender and make it into powder.. 
  • You store this in ziploc bag in the freezer..


FOR DRY BREAD CRUMBS :

  • Take the bread slies and arrange them in a heat tawa..
  • Fry in low heat till it became brown..
  • Take them in a blender and make it into powder.. 
  • You store this in ziploc bag in the freezer...



NOTES : 

  1. Dry bread crums can be store it fridge for 2 to 3 months..
  2. Fresh bread crumbs can be store for 5 to 6 months..


PICTORIAL :


 Take your bread slice you can use sweet bread also
 Slice them
 Cube them
 Transfer it to a bowl
 Pop them in fridge for 2 hours
 Now it frozen
 Add them to a blender
Powder them
 Fresh bread crumbs is done
 Now make dry ones
 Place it on the heat tawa
 Roast till golden brown
 Very low flame
 Flip and roast


 Now almost done 
 Break them into small pieces
Add it to a blender
 Powder them
 Now both are done
 Take your ziplac bag
 Add them seperately
Store it freezer, and use....
