Intuitive mushroom gravy



Intuitive mushroom gravy is a simple dish that can be composed from stock, mushroom base. I think it off what a new dish can i try with the mushroom....suddenly this one came to mind... It ia very nice mushroom gravy and palatable yummy gravy for roti... 

Button mushroom is one of my favourite which is cooked in a semi dry gravy of spiced and tangy tomato along with butter..your house will smell so good while you make this gravy Your loved one surely come near you and ask "wow" what magic are you doing in the kitchen.. This smell make me hungry " like my son said.....



Making mushroom gravy is not as challenging as you might think, spiced give the gravy a more traditional thanksgiving flavour, but to change it up the paste of coconut, cilantro, mint, and the cashew gives thickness to the gravy. I often make mushroom biriyani, mushroom pulao and mughlai mushroom briyani in my blog...




This version is a different version, recently i tried it this way after at a restaurant and this version going to be my keeper here after: It is a best comination of Whole wheat tortilla which i already post in my blog..

So no more delay here you go for the recipe...

INGREDIENTS : 

Mushroom - 1 pocket (washed and cut it into medium pieces)
Onion paste - 1 cup (I took 3 onion)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 small size chopped
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Butter - 2 tsp
Cinnamon - 2 small sticks

FOR MASALA :

Coconut - 1/2 cup
Cashew - 5
Cilantro - few
Mint leaves - few

METHOD :

  • Grind the masala first into smooth paste..
  • In a kadai add butter, cinnamon, onion paste and saute it well.
  • When it became light brown add in ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, and a good amount of salt and saute it well untill it became gravy..
  • Now add in grinded paste and all the spices powder.
  • Toss well untill the raw smell is gone...now throw in mushroom and toss it for 5 mins..
  • Now add in a little bit of water and mix well.. 
  • Bring it to boiland simmer for 10 mins. untill oil separates on top.. 
  • Serve it with rice or roti...

Take your ingredients
Grinding items
Into smooth paste
Butter in a kadai
Add in cinnamon
Onion paste
Saute it well in butter
Till it golden light brown
Add in ginger garlic paste
Chopped tomatoes
Mix well
Add in salt
Toss well till tomato mash
Add in grinded paste
All spices powder
Mix well
Now add in mushroom
Mix well
Add in enough water..
Bring that to boil
Covwer it and simmer till oil separate
Now it's ready
Serve...
