Capsicum / Bell pepper Pulao


Hi friends... Happy weekahead.... Let,s start another busy week... To give you energy and keep your week going,  Iam going to show you a yummy pulao which is made with my favourite veggie Bell pepper... Capsicum / Bell pepper Pulao is very simple and easy rice recipe.. 


I love to add bell peppers in all ny dishes... Some how I love the crunch they gave to the dishes.... It's makes the dish colourful as well as flavourful..This recipe is best served with raita or any dry gravy.. So with no more delay, here i deliver the recipe....


Preparation time : 10 mins
Cooking time : 20 mins
Serve - 4

INGREDEINTS :

Basmati rice - 2 cups (soaked for 30 mins)
Onion - 2 (sliced)
Capsicum / Bell Pepper - 1 (cut it into square)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbspn
Milk - 3 cups
Turmeric powder - 1 tspn
Salt - as needed
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Ghee - 4 tbspn

TO TEMPER :

Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon sticks - 2 (small)
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2

METHOD :

  • Soaked the basmati rice for 30 mins.. keep aside..
  • Heat a pressure cooker with ghee, add in tempered item..
  • Saute it for a min.. Then add in onions toss well till it became brown.
  • Now add in ginger garlic paste and toss along with the fried onions..
  • Add in bell pepper, turmeric powder and mix well for 2 mins
  • Now add in soaked rice and toss along with the onion bellpepper mixture for 5 mins..
  • When the rice is mix well add in milk, salt, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Close it with lid and whistled for 3...
  • When it's done open it and fluff the rice carefully..
  • Serve hot..



PICTORIAL :


 Take your ingredients
 Add ghee and tempered items in a cooker
 Add in sliced onions
 Toss well till became brown
 Add in ginger garlic paste
 Add in bell pepper
 Aspoon of turmeric powder
 Toss well
 Add in soaked rice and toss well for 5 mins
 Add in milk
 Give a mix
 Add in salt
 Add in chopped coriander leaves
 Give a mix, and whistled for 3
Now it's done
 Fluff it lightly
 Transfer it into a plate
 Serve hot
