Hai friends, Today I am Happy to share a traditional sweet recipe made with puffed rice, which is usually made in karthigai deepam as a neivethiyam.. I love this sweet in my childhood days and even now itself... When I make this in my home, my kids were suprised and will finished it within minutes..
It is very healthy to your kids and sure they will love it.. Making this pori urundai is simple trick to get a prefect round shape because of the jaggery syrup to a correct consistency... So I hope that you must try this recipe and let me know it's turns out from you....

INGREDIENTS :
Puffed rice / Pori - 3 cups (heaped)
Jaggery - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tspn (optional)
METHOD :
- Heat water in a pan and add in jaggery and allow to melts and filter to remove all impurities..
- In a heavy bottom pan add filter jaggery water and add in cardamom powder.
- Allow to boil or untill it reaches the hard ball consistency..
- (When you pour a tsp of jaggery syrup into a cup of water, it should not dissolves, you must be able to make a soft ball out of it..)
- This is a correct consistency, swich off the flame..
- Add in puffed rice to it, and mix it fastly.
- Now transfer it into a plate and take a small portion of that and make it a ball shape with your hands..
- You should act faster to make it a perfect shape and trans fer them into a bowl...
- Make all the remaining pori, to a small balls...
- Now serve and enjoy..

Take all your ingredients
Take jaggery in a pan
Add some water
Mix it well
Now it is melted completely
Now it's done
Strain it
Once again pour the jaggery syrup in to the pan
Add in cardamom powder
Once it became little thick
Spoon some syrup into the cold water
You should be form a smooth ball shape
Now add in puffed pori
Mix it fastly
Transfer them to a plate
Shape them into a ball
(you should act quickly)
Now it's done
Repeat fast with the remaining mixture..
Serve
