INGREDIENTS :
Green gram / Pacha payaru - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
Coconut - 3 tbspn (grated)
FOR TEMPERING :
Oil - 1 tspn
Mustard seeds / kaduku - 1 tspn
Urad dal / Ulandu - 1 tspn
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Dry red chilli - 2 broken
Curry leaves - few
METHOD :
- Soak green gram in lots of water overnight or upto 8 hours.
- Drain them and add it into cooker, spoon of salt and whistled it for 1..
- Drain them and keep aside..
- Heat oil in a a kadai. Add in the seasoning ingredients and saute for a min..
- Now add in cooked dal and mix well.
- Now add in grated coconut and mix well... check the salt if needed add...
- Serve hot...
PICTORIAL :
Soak it for 8 hours
Wash well and add to cooker
A spoon of salt
Whistled it for 1
Now it's done
Drain the water
Heat a pan with oil
Add in mustard and urad dal
Little asafotida powder
Add in chilli and curry leaves
Add in cooked dal
Some grated coconut
Mix well
Serve hot
