This amazing and delicious dessert recipe prepared during all festival, parties, weddings and even in indian thalis.. Gulab jamun is usually served after the meals, some one served with a scoop of vanilla icecream...
I made this recipe first time, you will need a khoya which is a evoporated milk is mixed with all purpose flour / maida to form a smooth soft dough.. and they fried in hot oil in medium flame and soaked in sugar syrup, melted in mouth jamuns... This recipe is simple, very easy for the beginners and it doesn't has any tip or tricks...

INGREDIENTS :
Khoya / Koya (unsweetened) - 1 cup
All purpose flour / Maida - 3 tbspn
Cooking Soda - 1/4 tspn
Oil - for frying
FOR SUGAR SYRUP :
Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Yellow food colour - few drop (optional)
Cardamom powder / Elachi - a pinch
METHOD :
- First crumble the khoya with your hands and measure it..
- Take khoya in a mixing bowl, and add in maida and cooking soda and rub it with your hands..
- Slowly add water (add carefully) to make a smooth soft dough..
- Form smooth dough without any lumps, Keep aside for 5 mins,
- Meanwhile take a pan with sugar, water, cardamom powder and food colour..
- Bring to boil for 6 to 7 mins in low flame.. keep aside..
- Roll the jamun into equal small balls and heat the oil in a pan..
- Now add the balls one by one carefully in hot oil..
- Fry it low flame and keep rolling the jamuns with the ladle inside the oil..
- So they cooked evenly, it will take few time to fry..
- Fry they till they get golden dark brown in colour..
- Drain them in tissue paper and immediately add to the hot sugar syrup..
- Let them soaked them and serve..
- Enjoy..
PICTORIAL :
Take all the ingredients for dough
In a mixing bowl add in khoya and maida
Add in cooking soda
Mix it well
Add in little water
Knead it well to form a smooth dough
In a pan add sugar
Add some water
Add in cardamom powder and yellow food colour
Bring to boil for 6 mins
Now make a small balls out the dough
All are done
Heat a pan with oil
Add the prepared jamuns
Fry them in low flame
Keep rolling the ladle in the oil
So they fry evenly
Fry till golden brown in colour and remove them to a tissue
Now pour the sugar syrup in aserving bowl
Add fried jamuns
Soaked it, till they became soft and spongy
