Kara sev is a simple and easy crispy snacks, one of my mom makes for every diwali... It is very popular snacks and easy to prepare.. In Tamilnadu sattur is very most famous for karasev... Here I am adding 1 cup of gram flour and 3/4 cup of rice flour with 2 tbspn of butter that fry it in hot coconut oil makes flvourful, crispy, and white in colour..
I was happy with the result.. especially kids loved it... It is a best winter crispy snacks with a cup of tea or coffee... My son likes this kara sev, but Iam not a big fan of it.. So I made it a small batch of him alone...

INGREDIENTS :
Gram flour / Kadala mavu - 1 cup
Rice flour - 3/4 cup
Pepper powder - 1 tspn ( crushed)
Cumin seeds - 2 tbspn
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
Butter - 2 tbspn (soften)
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt - as needed
Coconut oil - for frying
METHOD :
- Take both flour in a mixing bowl.
- Add in cumin seeds, turmeric powder, pepper powder and asafoetida
- Add in soften butter and salt, rub with your hands..
- Add enough water to make a stiff dough..
- Take the murukku press with same plate that used to make murukku.
- Fill the press with dough and press it in hot oil in large circles..
- Just two circles, fry it in medium flames and flip it..
- Fry till the bubbles subsides..
- Now remove them to a kitchen towels and broken them..
- Serve and enjoy..
- Keep it air tight container after they cool completely...

Take all your ingredinets
In a mixing bowl add in gram flour and rice flour
Add in cumin seeds, turmeric powder, pepper powder, asafoetida
Add in ghee
Rub it with your hands
Add in water
Make it a sift dough
Use this murukku press
Fill the press with dough
Heat a pan with oil
Press it in hot oil
Donot make too many layer
Flip it over
Fry till the bubbles subsides
shhhhhh sound ceases
Drain it paper towel
Serve hot
Enjoy..
Store it air tight container
