Orange Custard Mousses / Eggless Orange Moussee


Orange Custard Mousse is a suprisingly simple and easy to create this sophisticated and delightful dessert... Present and garnish with some fresh orange... Make this light and fluffy mousse when orange are in season... A splash of fruit liqueur in the top gives it an indulgent kick while having... It is very immpressive and refreshing to serve at a dinner party...



The vivid colour and tangy taste of the oranges dominates this quick mousse... Here i use fresh oranges but you can use orange squash that's also sa same as the fresh juice... I have tried this recipe for first time.... But taste so yummy too...Plus it is eggless as well... I hope that you must try this mousses for your kids and let me know how it's turns out from you.....




Preparation time : 10 to 15 mins
Cooking time : 3 to 4 mins
Chilling time : 1or 2 hour
Serves - 2

INGREDIENTS :


FOR CUSTARD :


Custard powder - 1 1/2 tbspn

Milk - 3/4 cup (cold)
Sugar - 2 tbspn
Whipped cream - 1 cup
Orange essence - 1 tspn

FOR ORANGE SAUCE :


Orange - 3 (remove the skin and seeds)

Sugar - 3 tbspn (reduce it if your orange are sweet)

METHOD :



  • Take orange peel the skin and seeds, add it to the blender and sugar, make it a coarse puree.. set aside..
  • Take custard powder, milk in a sauce pan.. Mix it dissolves without any lunbs..
  • Add in sugar and mix that too... Now in low heat stirring continuosly so no lumps are formed..
  • Once it is thick, remove it to a bowl... let it cool.
  • Now add in orange juice, reserve few tbspn of sauce for topping..
  • Add in orange essence, whipped cream and fold gently..
  • Once it well combained,, spoon this into serving bowl and chill it for a hour or so...
  • When it cool, at the same time we going to make orange sauce for topping..
  • In a sauce pan add in orange and sugar mixture and mix well till it became thick in low flame...
  • Now the sauce is ready and transfer it into a bowl...
  • Before serving, spoon some of the orange sauce and top with few orange...
  • Serve cold...
  • Enjoy..

PICTORIAL :



 Take your ingredients and prepare your whipped cream
 In a sauce pan, take some custard powder
 Add in milk
 Mix well, so no lumbs are formed
 Add in sugar
 Mix well and heat it in low flame
Remove it from the fire and cool it
 Take some oranges and peel the skin and seeds
 Add them to a blender
 Add some sugar
Make it into rough puree...
Now transfer it into a bowl
 Add some orange puree
 Some orange essence
 Mix it through
 Now add in some of the whipped cream..
 Fold it gently
 Take a serving glass
 Fill with some orange mousse
Chill it for a hour or so
 Now take rest of the orange juice ina sauce pan
 Allow to boil
See how thick it is..
Now the sauce is ready
 Before serving, spoon some orange sauce..
 which we prepared
 Spoon some sauce over the mousse
 I topped with some orange
 Enjoy..
