Pomegranate Raita Recipe


Pomegranate raita is a pleasant fruity raita.. Like all the other raita recipes... This pomegranate raita too is very simple and easy to prepare.. Fresh pomegranate arils in a creamy, sweety, spiced yogurt base in a raita, that is as good as a sweet dessert...For our sweet tastebuds, we prefer sweet with sweet... however, if you perfer the salty version, then just don't add sugar to the raita.. 


The flavour of blacksalt / rock salt, roasted cumin powder and chaat masala gives excellent taste to the raita... We can serve it as a chilled desserts for your kids.. they really loved it...The pomegranate is so good that you can have it plain...You can also serve sidedish with a briyani, pulao, and verity rice.. so i hope that you must try this raita and let me know how it's turns out from you...

INGREDIENTS :

Pomegranate - 1 (cup seeds)
Yogurt / curd - 1 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/2 tspn
Sugar - 1 tspn
Chaat masala - 1/4 tspn
Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)

METHOD :

  • Take yogurt in a bowl, beat well with a spoon till smooth..
  • Add all the ingredients given in the list " INGREDIENTS" and mix well. (one by one)
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning...
  • Serve cold...
  • Enjoy..


PICTORIAL :


Take all your ingredients
Take pomegranate to a cutting board 
and cut it open
Bash the top using a heavy spoon so the seeds falls off
Now it's done
Take thick curd in a bowl
Beat well till smooth
Add in salt and sugar
Mix well
Add in chat masala, chilli, cumin powders
Mix it evenly
Add in black salt
Mix well
Add in pomegranate seeds
Add in chopped coriander leaves
Fold it gently
Now transfer to a serving bowl
Spread some pomegranate
Enjoy..
