Homemade Urad Dal Flour


Diwali is around the corner and i know you all will be bashing your heads for what to do for diwali.. I have started posting recipe for diwali If you haven't check it out, take a look at it.. When you think of diwali snacks murukku is the main thing that comes in your mind. When you wants to make murukku, you need urad dal flour. You can find them at stores, but making them at home is very easy and simple.. 


Here is the recipe and make it in bulk so you can have them, when you want to make diwali snacks...

Cooking time : 15 to 20 mins
Preparation time : 10 mins
Makes : 1 cups

INGREDIENTS :

Whole white urad dal - 3/4 cup

METHOD :

  • Take a heavy bottom pan. Add in urad dal and start roasting on a low flame till it is roasted.
  • Now remove it to a bowl and allow to cool down completely.
  • Once cooled take in a blender and powdered it.. and transfer it into a bowl to cool...
  • Then take 1/2 flour in a trusty blender and powdered finely...
  • Grind it in 2 batch to make fine powder
  • Allow to cool down. Store it in a air tight container.
  • Use it for your snacks...


PICTORIAL :

Take 1/2 cup of urad dal
Then 1/4 cup too in a bowl
 Start roasting in a kadai
 Stir always
 Now it's done
 Remove it to a bowl
 Add to your blender
 Make into powder
 Transfer it into a bowl
 Now it is not finely powdered
 Take them 1/2 flour in a small blender
 Powdered finely
 See how it is!
 Allow to cool 
Store it in a air tight container
