This is a good evening snacks for children too. Maladu or Maa ladoo is a popular south indian ladoo variety.. The protien rich, south indian ladoo that is supposed to have originated from the distict of tirunelveli. It is also called as pottukadalai urundai...
Me and my daughter loved this ladoo and she ask me to prepare this ladoo daily... But i make this weekly once to her.. You could prepared this ladoo not only for diwali but anytime as you want... Because it is such a easy peasy recipe...Making ladoo are one of the tricky part in cooking.. Because you need to adjust the sugar to the right consistency and add the mixture slowly to the ghee and make ladoos...
This one is the quickest and easiest ladoos you can never imagine... So i hope that you must give a try and comments on my blog about the recipe..

- Then heat a pan with ghee and pour a ladle of ghee (little by little) around the ground mixture..
- Make sure that the ghee - gram dal mixture is in a right consistency that lets you make small lemon sized balls
- Do not add too much of ghee then we cannot make stiffer ladoos.

NOTES:
- You may also grind the gram into fine powder...
- You may alsoadd in fried cashew along with the ghee and mix to the mixture...
- Adding ghee little by little make the ladoo stiffer..
- When you add more ghee makes it easy for us to make ladoos but the ladoo would not be stiff and it will easily became clumpsy..
