Mutton Seekh Kabab


Mutton seekh kabab is a delicious indian recipe served as a starter or an accompaniment. Here mutton mince mixed with onions and spices to form this delicious seekh kababs.. We may also used chicken in this ways... the kabab platter looked appetizing. Delicous and yummy mutton seekh kabab simply melt in the mouth and was perfectly spiced. 


I prepared this kabab for my uncle's friend and his families.. He told to prepare some more different type of lunch for them so i think it of to make North indian dishes so plan to make BBQ chicken, Sweet corn peas pulao, Mutton rogan josh, Bhuna chicken, Mutton seekh kabab, Cucumber salad, Fresh cream cake, etc... They were so suprised to have these item as a lunch... 



They enjoyed the lunch and I never expect that i got a very good comment from them, so  iam very happy to hear these type of wishes... My hubby also enjoyed it well.. Totally the day is superb.. So I hope friends you should give a try to this recipe and comment me how it comes out..

Preparation time : 15 mins 
Marination Time : 1 Hour
Grilled Time : 25 to 30 mins
Serve - 6

INGREDIENTS :

Mutton - 150 grams
Mutton fat - 20 grams
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Onion paste - 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Butter - 20 grams
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Amchoor powder / dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp
Bread crumbs - 3 tbspn
Coriander - few (finely chopped)
Mint leaves - few (finely chopped)
Salt - to taste

FOR GRILLING : 

Butter - 3 tbspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Chilli powder - 1 tspn

METHOD :

  • In a blender add mutton pieces and fat together and add in some turmeric powder and minced it.
  • Then transfer it into the mixing bowl, add in chopped onion, onion paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander, mint, all the whole spices, and salt. 
  • Atlast add some butter, bread crumbs and mix it well and make a douge.
  • Wet your hands in water, take small portion of the chicken mince and Shape into a very small log. 
  • Now place a toothpic (skewer) in the middle, press it inside, Then the shape is around the skewers.(But i dont have skewers i used tooth pic).
  • Melt the butter in a tawa.And place it on the tawa and cover it with a lid.
  • Now open it and turn over the kabab lightly, and again add in a spoon of butter.
  • Again cook it for 10 to 15 mins. Keep rotating it and brush it with butter all over it..
  • Then cook it well for another 10 mins.. Lightly sprinkle some pepper powder and chilli powder on the kabab and toss the pan..
  • When it's turn into dark brown in colour. Check wheather the mutton is cooked.
  • It's all done transfer it into the plate...
  • Serve immediately with coriander chutney and salad.


PICTORIAL :


Take your ingredinets
Take mutton and fat in a blender
Add some turmeric powder
Grind it
Take it into the bowl
Add some onion
Add a spoon of onionpaste, ginger garlic paste
Chopped coriander and mint
Add some butter
Then some bread crumbs
Mix well
Done like this
Brush your tawa with butter
Place the kabab over it
Cover it with lid
Cook on medium heat and keep roating it
Add some butter
Look how golden it has got
Spread some pepper powder, chilli powder
Shake the tawa 
Now it's done
Looks yummy and gleaming
Serve hot
Enjoy..
