Chilli Onion Chutney / Spicy Chilli Chutney



The spicy chutney with chilli, onion and garlic can be made with jiffy and perfect to serve with hot idli and mild dosa variety. The fried onions in gingelly oil gives exellant flavour to thr dish while we having..

INGREDIENTS : 

Gingelly oil - 1 1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Shallots / small onions - 25 (chopped)

FOR GRINDING :

Dry red chillies - 7 nos
Tamarind - 1 pinch
Garlic - 2 cloves
Salt - as needed

METHOD :

  • First grinding things given in the ingredients " FOR GRINDING" into smooth paste.
  • Transfer it into the bowl and keep aside.
  • In a kadai add in oil, mustard, when it splutteds add urad dal, and chopped shallots and fry in low flame.
  • When it became light brown and pour this into the chutney bowl.
  • Mix well and serve...
  • Enjoy..

Take grinding things first
Take it in a blender
Blend it into smooth paste
Transfer it into a bowl
Take temper items
Add oil in a kadai
Add in mustard, urad dal
Chopped onions
Fry it till brown
 Now take your chutney
 Pour this over your chutney
 Serve
