Homemade Chicken Puffs


My son love love chicken puffs very much and i made this puffs from my homemade pastry puff sheets It's either chicken puffs, egg puffs or veg puffs.. They always seemed a very difficult and unimaginable thing to cook or bake for me.. I saw my friend aarthi recipe for veg puffs and i thought of giving this chicken puffs as a twist for that recipe.. 


But it came out very well and much much better than anyother puffs I had... I have noticed that the current generation have a different trends to these days.. They would rather prefer Fried chicken, Hotdog, Burger, Pizza etc...Since the demand for puffs has come down. But the homemade puffs be loved by every one at home and enjoy this...


So please give this a try and comments about the recipe ....

Preparation time : 15 mins
Baking time : 20 to 30 mins
Cooking time : 15 mins
Makes - 3 to 4 puffs

INGREDIENTS :

Homemade pastry sheets - 4

Egg - 1 (To brush it on the top)

FOR FILLING :


Chicken - 150 grams (boneless)

Oil - 1 tspn
Onion - 2 (chopped)
Tomato - 1 (Big size chopped)
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Garam masala powder - 1 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Salt - 1 tspn
Coriander leaves - few

METHOD :



  • Preheat the oven for 200 degree C.
  • Heat a pan with oil, add in chopped onions, toss well till it became transparent..
  • Now add in ginger garlic paste, and all the spices powder...
  • Now add in chicken pieces and mix along with the onions...
  • Now add in tomatoes, salt and all spices powder...
  • Then give a mix untill it became mushy.
  • The masala should blend with the onion...
  • Toss till the raw smell is gone..
  • Simmer the stove till the chicken is cooked completely...
  • chopped coriander leaves to the masala.
  • Toss it well, then again simmer the stove for 5 mins or till the gravy is thick...
  • let the filling should be cool down completely..
  • Trans fer it into a plate.

FOR MAKING PUFFS :


  • Now puffs pastry sheets which i have already prepared.
  • place a pastry sheet in between the plastric wrap and extand it lightly..
  • Then spoon the chicken filling in the centre of the sheet.
  • And fold the one side end towords the another like triangle shape..
  • Place it on the baking tray to bake.
  • Beat a whole egg and brush lightly on the top of thre filled pastry sheet..
  • Then bake it for 25 to 30 mins.. or till it done.
  • Serve hot and enjoy...

PICTORIAL :





Prepare your puffs pastry sheet
Take your ingredients for fillings
Heat a pan with oil and add onions
Toss well till it transparent
Now add in ginger garlic paste
Add in chicken 
Mix along with thw onions
Now add in tomatoes and salt
Then add in all masala powders
Toss well in the low flame till the chicken is done
Now it's done 
Transfer it into the bowl
Prepare your pastey sheets
Place in between the plastic wrap
Extand it lightly
Add a spoon of masala 
Cover like thgis
Place it on the baking tray
Now arramge them in a tray
Crack open a egg
Beat well
Brush it on the top
Bake it
Serve hot
Enjoy...
