Mushroom masala dosai / Kalan dosa


Mushroom masala dosa recipe is a tasty dosa recipe with mushroom masala filling.. It is a dinner item which is popular in India especially South india.. Masala dosa is nothing but dosa with filling. Intially, masala dosa was made with potato filling, But now it is available in many version and with variety of filling... Panner, mushroom, cauliflower, kheema, and many others....


The method of making mashroom masala dosa is easy here i use normal dosa batter which is made at home.. Masala for mushroom masala dosa is easy to prepare, But the only difficultty is in clean the mushroom, you can know the technique to clean the mushrooms. And it has the texture to absorb water, hence it will be better to clean mushroom with a wet clean cloth, Peel the skin and then chop the mushroom into pieces... and use.

INGREDIENTS : 

Idli dosa batter - 2 cups 
Oil - 3 tbspn

FOR FILLING :

Mushroom - 1 pocket (clean and cut it into big pieces)
Onion - 2 (chopped finely)
Tomato - 1 (chopped finely)
Soya sauce - 1 tspn
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Coriander powder - 1 tspn
Garam masla powder - 1 tspn
Cumin powder - 1/4 tspn
Coriander leaves / cilantro - few (chopped)
Oil - 3 tbspn
Salt - 1 tspn
Water - 1/4 cup

METHOD :

FOR FILLING :

  • Heat a pan with oil, add chopped  ginger garlic paste, onion and toss well for 5 mins...
  • Then add in chopped tomatoes and little bit of salt to mashy it...
  • Allow to mashy completely...now add in spices powders...
  • Then mix well along with tomatoes...
  • Add in mushrooms and mix evenly...
  • Now sprinkle some water and allow to boil..
  • Then add in soya sauce, and give a mix...
  • Atlast add in cilantro and mix well.
  • Check whetherthe salt is correct...now the gravy is done..


HOW TO MAKE DOSA :

  • Heat a dosa tawa and pour the ladle of batter on it..
  • Roll it into dosa, sprinkle some oil and flip over it..
  • And then add in some oil, now the dosa is done...
  • Filp again the dosa and slow the flame to slim...
  • Spoon some mushroom filling in the centre (length wise ) if the dosa..
  • Fold the dosa from the corner, make like cylinder shape.
  • Now transfer it into a plate..cut it into two half.
  • Then serve hot..


PICTORIAL :

Take your ingredients
Take your spices powders
Heat a pan with oil
Add in ginger garlic paste
Add in chopped onions
Toss till transparent
 
Now add in tomatoes
Little bit of salt
Mix well
Till it mushy
Now add in all spices powder
 
Toss well
Now add in mushrooms
Mix well
Mix continiously for 5 mins
Add in little bit of water
Allow to boil
Then add in soya sauce
Mix evenly and allow to cook completely
Now add in chopped coriander leaves
Now mix it evenly 
Transfer it into a bowl
Take your dosa batter
Heat a pan and pour a ladle of batter
Spread it into dosa
Sprinkle some oil
Flip over
Again flip and slow the flame
Now spoon the fillings
Roll it into a cylinder
Cut it into a two half
Enjoy...
