Madurai Kari Dosai


Madurai is not only famous for meenakshi temple, malligai poo there are few more things that adds the asset of it... One among is the "kari dosai". If you had ever tasted the madurai kari dosai, so here is the recipe.. It is very famous food in madurai.. There are lots of vegetarian dosai varities, however for dinner but really give a hats off to the person who invented this recipe... 


It is very innovative dish I have heard about mudurai kari dosai before but never tasted it.. My cousin told to give it a try and forced me to taste it in madurai kumar mess (mumm mumm) taste are awesome and finger licking one..  so I wanted to make it in our own way.. Yesterday I prepare this dosai for dinner my husband was shocked and enjoy it. And it was the best dinner for my whole family.


Kari dosai is a mini dosa with mutton toppings, The entire dosa is cooked upside down and cooked for a couple of min, serve hot.. So I hope you to try this yummy and favourite recipe and comments about this...

INGREDIENTS:


Chopped mutton - 250 gm (boneless)

Onion - 2 (chopped finely)
Fennel seeds - 1tspn
Small onion -10 to 12 (slit)
Chilly powder - 2 tspn
Coriander powder - 2 tspn
Cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
Garamasala powder - 1/2 tspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Gingelly oil - 5 tspn
Dosai batter - as needed
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Coriander leaves - a handful (chopped)

METHOD:



  • Heat a pan add oil, fennel seeds, onions fry it till it become brown
  • Add turmeric powder and now all the spices one by one
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and chopped mutton mix it well untill its mix evenly
  • Next add salt and water in another pan, fry small onions adn pour it in to the gravy pan
  • Close the pan whistle it for 4..
  • Open the pan after 5 mins, the gravy look superb heat it untill it become thick..
  • Atlast finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it keep it aside..
  • Take small bowl into it broken the eggs add salt and beat well..
  • In dosai tawa pour a ladle of batter on it and spread it..
  • Click Idli, dosa batter to view.
  • Add beaten egg on the dosa and another layer put mutton kari
  • If u prepar before and another layer finely chopped coriander leaves..
  • Add some oil to the dosa for it cripsiness.
  • Turn it over press, the dosai with the spoon, for the mutton gravy mingled with the batter..
  • Now the mutton kari dosa is ready.

PICTORIALS:



Take all your ingredients
Heat a pan with oil and fennel seeds
Add in chopped onions
Add in turmeric powder
Now all the spices
Add in pepper powder
Add ginger garlic paste
Now chopped muttons
Mix it well, untill it mix evenly
Add salt
Add some water
In another pan fry small onions
Add to the gravy
Whistled it for 4
Now the gravy is liquid
Heat it untill the gravy become thick
Now its thick add coriander leaves
 The gravy looks superb
In a bowl add egg
Add in salt
Beat it well
Take dosai batter
Put dosai and pour beaten eggs
Now the mutton gravy
Then coriander and add some oil over it
Turn it over
Now the yummy, Madurai kari dosai is ready
Serve hot with salna or raita
