South Indian recipe which is healthy and easy to make murungai keerai poriyal / drumstick leaves stir fry.. This healthy recipe makes for a very nice side dish for lunch... It well goes with any kinds of sambar or kuzhambu verities.. Murunga keerai my husband favorite dish. I prepared this with my Traditional vegetable sambar. Keerai is very healthy which contain rich iron.

INGREDIENTS:
Murunga keerai - 1 cup (chopped)
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Fresh coconut - 1/2 cup (grated)
Salt - as needed
Water - 1/2 cup
TO TEMPER:
Water - 1/2 cup

Mustard seeds -1 tspn
Urad dal - 1 tspn
Urad dal - 1 tspn
Coconut oil - 2 tbspn
FOR GRINDING:
Dry red chilli - 5 (nos)
Jeera -1 tspn
Garlic - 2 (cloves)
METHOD :
- Pick the leaves from the stem, chopped it very finely and clean the greens in large amount of water multiple times to remove all the dirt. set aside.
- Grind the grinding items into coarse powder. (don't need to add water)
- Heat coconut oil in a wok. Add mustard, urad dal and let it splutter.
- Now add chopped onion and toss it well in the oil.
- Add chopped greens and salt along with that add little amount of water and cover it with lid and cook it for 7 mins. Untill the greens are half cooked.
- Now add grinded masala and toss them well. Untill the raw smell is gone.
- When it's cooked completely add grated fresh coconut and mix well.
- Now the murunga keerai poriyal is ready to serve...

Add mustard seeds and urad dal
Now add onion
Add the greens
Now add water
Ground the masala like this
