Pudalangai Paruppu Kootu


Cooking Time : 20 mins
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Serve : 3-4

INGREDIANTS:

Snake gourd (Pudalangai) - 2 large
Boiled toor dal - 1 cup
Mustard seed -1 spn
Urad dal - 1/2 spn
Turmeric Powder - 1/2tspn
Small onion - 3(chopped)
Coconut - as required
Salt - as required
Coconut oil - 3 tspn
Chilli paste - 3 tspn (click here to visit the chilli paste)

METHOD: 

  • In a kadai add coconut oil, mustard seed, urad dal, small onion, snake gourd, salt, turmeric powder 
  • Allow to boil for 10 mins or till it's cooked...
  • Add chilli paste and toss them till raw smell is gone
  • Now add the dal to it and mix it well
  • As per your wish you have to add some water
  • Now the kootu is ready atlast add coconut to that
  • I served it with karuna kizhangu puzhi kozhambu
  • Click karuna kizhangu puzhi kozhambu to view

Take your ingrediants
Put coconut oil in kadai
Add mustard seed and urad dal
Add onion
Add snake gourd
Then add salt
Add turmeric powder
Add Chilli paste
Add boiled toor dal
Add coconut
Wait for till cooked
Serve
