Corn Peas Pulao


Hi friends, I am pleasure to say that school will started and the students were all welcome to the new academic year 2015- 2016. Most moms are requested to spend more time in preparing breakfast and lunch to their kids....


In the school they kindly ensure that your child brings healthy snacks and fresh juice for their break and nutritious lunch in their lunch break.. I tried this recipe on my kids first day school lunch bag....They like it very much, crunch and sweetness in the corn with a flavour masala makes it tasty one pot meals.... It is colourful to see and tasty to eat.. So try this for your kids and let give a comment about this recipe....

Preparation time : 10 mins
Cooking time : 20 mins
Serve : 3

INGREDIENTS :

Basmati rice : 1 cup (cooked)
Big onion - 1 ( chopped)
Green chilli - 3 (sliced)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Corn kernels - 1/2 cup
Peas - 1/4 cup (fresh)
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tspn
Coriander leaves - few
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - as needed

METHOD :

  • Cook basmati rice along with a spoon of oil and salt and keep aside.
  • Add oil in a pan and then add feenel seeds with onion and chillies and allow to saute for a mins.
  • Untill the onion became transparent, Then add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  • Now add in corn kernels and peas and saute it lightly along with a spoon of salt..
  • Then add in pepper powder and coriander leaves till the masala blend with the veggies..
  • Now add cooked basmati rice and fluff evenly... for 2 mins.
  • Serve hot with french fries or any raita...
PICTORIAL :



Take your ingredients
Cook basmati rice and keep aside
Add oil to a pan
Add in feenel seeds
Chopped onions
Sliced green chillies
Mix well and saute it for 5 mins
Till it became transparent
Add in ginger garlic paste
Add in corn kernels
Add in green peas
Salt 
Some pepper powder
Few coriander leaves
Mix well with the masala
Now add cooked basmati rice
Fluff it well 
Now its ready
Serve hot
