This recipe is first time for me and also a similar way of butter chicken masala, In this gravy i fried the paneer in the butter and the fried Paneer are cooked in spicy rich onion tomato gravy.. . It is most popular in punjab in indian cuisine. The perfect combination of spiciness and creaminess of the gravy give delicious taste to the recipe...

Serve - 4 to 5
Cuisine : Punjabi
INGREDIENTS :
Paneer / Cottage cheese - 250 grams (cubes and diced)
Onion - 2 (Big, sliced)
Tomato - 4 (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbspn
Bay leaf - 1
Cinnamon sticks - 2 (small)
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2
chilli powder - 1 tbspn
Coriander powder - 1 tbspn
Cumin powder - 1/2 tbspn
Cashew - 15 (soaked in warm water)
Kasuri methi - 1 tspn
Butter - 50 grams
Oil - 2 tbspn
Cilantro - few
Salt - as needed
METHOD :
- Soaked the cashew in warm water and grind it into a smooth paste, keep aside.
- Heat a pan with oil add sliced onion and toss well.
- Now add in chopped tomatoes and toss along with the onions.
- When it mushy off the stove and grind it into smooth paste, keep aside.
- Now cut the paneer into cubes and fry the paneer by add butter and little amount of salt in a pan.
- When it became light brown (for 1 min) off the stove and trabsfer it into a plate. keep aside.
- Now heat the same pan by adding butter, allow to melts.
- Add in all whole spices and toss well.
- Now add in ginger garlic paste and toss well along with spices.
- Now add in grinded onion tomato paste and saute it well.
- Add in all spices powder and salt, give a mix.
- Then add in paneer cubes and cook them for 2 - 3 mins.
- Dont cook for a long time, now add water and mix well.
- Lastly add cashew paste and cook it for 1 min...
- Then sprinkle some kasuri methi leaves. stir well.
- Add some butter and off the stove. Garnish with some cilantro.
- Now the yummy paneer butter masla is ready to serve..

PICTORIAL :
Take your ingredints
Soak cashew in warm water
Add to blender
Make it into a smooth paste
Prepare your veggies
Heat a pan with oil
Add sliced onion
Fry it till golden
Add tomatoes
Toss well
Let it be cool completely
Add to the blender
Grind it into smooth paste
Cut the paneer into cubes
Add butter to the pan
Add paneer
Fry it
Lightly toss it
Ok done
Transfer it into a plate
Add butter to the same pan
Add all whole spices
Ginger gralic paste
Toss well
Add in grind masala
Add in all spices powder and salt
Toss well and add in fried paneer
Some water (wash the blender and pour in it)
Add the cashew paste
Some butter
Sprinkle kasuri methi
Done
Add chopped cilantro
Now it's ready
Serve hot
Take a spoon of gravy
