This sweet corn soup recipe was always resqested by my son and my daughter when they wants to me to cook indochinese food for them. For this soup you can use the american sweet corn or the regular corn. since i have made thesoup with both of them, I can assure you both ways they taste good. Every kids will like this recipe which i used half-half of milk and water. the milk would also contribute to the sweetness in the soup. The other recipes in the chinese category that i would cook often were in my blog.
So during the vacation when the cooking fairy would insipre me, I would end up cooking a lot of stuff apart from indo chinese recipes..
I never have vegetable stock ready at home, so many soups are made with water and milks. If you have veg stock you can use them to the soup. Use freshly ground pepper as the aroma from freshly ground adds a lot of depth to this simple sweet corn soup.
