Keerai masiyal


Today iam going to share with you a easy way of making keerai masiyal using a pot. Through i have prepared this masiyal with arai keerai, you can prepare the same recipe by substituting arai keerai with mulai keerai or siru keerai or paruppu keerai...When we use this masiyal together with a lovely flavour that it can be made as a main curry to go with white rice.... 


My mom mix it with hot steamed rice along with ghee and put in our lunch boxes. Now i follow the same one to my daughter and it is her favourite one.. The main thing about this is its simplicity and you can taste everybit of it freshness. I hope you loved it and try it and comment about this...

INGREDIENTS :

Arai keerai - 1 bunch ( roughil chopped)
Garlic - 1 big clove
Red chilli -3 (broken)
Onion - 3 
Water - 1/2 cup
Salt - as needed

FOR TEMPERING : 

Coconut oil - 1 tbspn
Mustard - 1/2 tspn

METHOD :

  • Take a pot add keerai in it and water..
  • Cover it with a lid and Let them to boil for 5 mins. untill it cooked
  • Now remove them from heat and let them cool down.
  • Take a blender, add in salt, chilli, shallots, garlic clove and make into a coarse puree.
  • Pour that into a bowl.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and add in mustard and allow to sizzle..
  • Pour this over the puree and mix well.
  • Serve with rice and papad.


PICTORIAL :

 Take arai keerai
 Add to the pot
 Pour some water
 Allow to cook
 Cover it with the lid
 It still cook
 Now see how it cooked
 Now off the stove and let it be cool completely
 Add to a blender
 Add in salt
 Broken red chilli
 Shallots
 Make it into coarse form of puree
Transfer it into a bowl
 Heat a pan with oil
 Add mustard and allow to sizzle
Pour it into the blended keerai and mix
Now it's ready
