My Village Style Nattu Kozhi Kuzhambu



Hai guys....Today we learn Nattu kozhi kuzhambu / Arachuvitta kozhi kulambu is a thick gravy prepared with country chicken with freshly ground masala at home.. My Aunt makes this kuzhambu often when my hubby was kid and it is his favourite kuzhambu.... 



Hope everyone had a great thing to enjoy nattu kozhi, So I prepared my village popular recipe for you.. It is very perfectly as like as my aunty.. The day was awesome everyone has shocked and surprised to have it.. The recipe takes some time to make but it is  Enjoyed it and let me know how it's turns out from you!

Cooking Time : 40 mins

INGREDIENTS:

Country chicken - 1kg (cut into small pieces)
Salt - as required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 spn

TO TEMPER :

Mustard seeds - 1 1/2 spn
Gingelly oil - 5 tbspn
Shallots / small onion - 20 nos (chopped)
Curry leaves - as required

FOR MASALA:

  • Small onion - 15
  • Red Chilli - 20 , Coriander seeds - 4 spn , Cumin seed - 1spn
  • Grated fresh coconut - 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tspn

METHOD:
  • Grinded the grinding things first and keep aside.
  • In a pressure cooker add the chicken, onion paste, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder.
  • Add water and close the lid, whistled it for 5....
  • Now add chilli paste, coconut paste, salt and mix well.. let's it boil with chicken...
  • In another kadai add gingelly oil, mustard seeds, some small onion and curry leaves fry it till brown..
  • Now add all the small onions which have cut into two pieces toss it well and pour it into the gravy..
  • Cook everything the slow flame till oil floats on top.
  • Now the Nattu kozhi kuzhambu is ready.
  • I serve it with Split urad dal rice and boiled egg.

Take Ingrediants
Add chicken in the pressure cooker
Add onion paste
Ginger garlic paste
Add water
Add turmeric powder
Whistle it for 5
Now the chicken is done
Add chilli, coriander, cumin paste
Add coconut paste
Add salt
Add oil in kadai
Mustard seed
Small onion , curry leaves
Toss it well and add balance small onion
Mix them well
Pour it into the gravy
Mix well
Cook everything on a slow 
flame till oil floats on top
Nattu kozhi kuzhambu is ready
Serve
I serve it with urad dal rice and 
nattu kozhi65 , boiled egg
Enjoy..
