Nellai Kozhi Kuzhambu is my family favourite as well as famous one, we often made this type of kuzhambu... My hubby like to had this with urad dal rice which have already posted in my blog.. This is very aromatic chicken kuzhambu made with fresh ground masala paste.. which gives awesome taste to the kuzhambu..
This is my aunty signature recipe from our village.. They use country chicken but I use broiler chicken.. So I hope that you must try this recipe and let me know how it's turns out from you....

INGREDIENTS:
Chicken -1/2 kg
Chopped small onions -1 bowl
Turmeric powder-1pinch
Ginger garlic paste-1spn
Curry leaves
Mustard-1 spn
Gingelly oil-5 spn
Salt
Water
FOR GRINDING:
Red chilli - 10 nos
Coriander seeds - 3 tbspn
Cumin -1/2 tspn
Small onions - 10 nos
Fresh coconut - 1cup (grated)
METHOD:
- Take red chilli,coriander,cumin,in a pan and fry it lightly and grind
- Now grind onions and coconut too.
- In a kadai add oil , onions, ginger garlic paste, onion paste, turmeric powder, curry leaves and chicken
- And lightly fried it ,add some water to boil and covered it
- Until the chicken is cooked soft and tender..
- Open the lid and add grinded paste too then add salt..
- In another kadai add oil, mustard, allow to crackle
- And add in chopped small onions, curry leaves and fry it..
- Pour over the chicken gravy, cover it for 10 mins till the oil floats on the top...
- Now switch off the flame and serve...
- It is done and suitable for white rice.
- Now serve hot, the best sidedish for this recipes is Chicken 65 to view...
PICTORIAL:
Take your roasting item
Fry it lightly
Take some shallots and coconut
Grinded these all into a smooth paste
Slice the small onions, keep aside
Prepare your chicken
Add oil in a kadai
Add in onions for 2 mins
Add ginger garlic paste
Grinded onion paste
Then your chicken
Little bit of turmeric powder
Few curry leaf
Add somewater
Cover it, allow to cook
When the chicken is cooked tender
Add chilli masala, already we prepare
Some coconut paste
Add in salt
Add oil in another kadai
Add in mustard seeds
Chopped onions
Few curry leaf
Pour the tempering items over the gravy
Mix well, cover it
and let them to boil it for 10 mins
and let them to boil it for 10 mins
kuzhambu is ready
