Chola puri / Bhature


Chola puri is also called as chole bhature. It is very popular punjabi dish which is usually served as dinner. Chole bhature is a best combination of chola masala ... Bhature are fried indian bread made up of all purpose flour / maida, whole wheat flour and sooji. Preparation time : 10 mins 
Marination time : 1 1/2 hours
Serve - 5
Recipe cuisine : Punjabi

INGREDIENTS :

All purpose flour / maida - 250 grams
Wheat flour - 250 grams
Sooji / Rava - 50 grams
Oil - to deep fry
Salt to taste
Warm water - as per need

METHOD :

  • Put maida and wheat flour in a dough making plate.
  • Add in sooji, salt, oil and also add in water to make it into dough.
  • Knead it for 15 mins to make into a smooth dough.
  • Cover and leave it for 1 1/2 hours, and make this into smooth round even sized balls. 
  • Using a roller flatten the balls one by one to make it large round and flat of medium thickness.
  • Deep fry this in oil till the puri pops fully and then remove it from the frying pan. 
  • Tranfer into a tissue paper untill the extra oil are absorb.
  • Now the chola puri is ready to serve with chola masala.
  • Click chola masala to view.


PICTORIAL :

Take your ingredients
Add maida in a bowl
Add in wheat flour 
Then sooji
Salt
Add in oil 
Add in warm water slowly
Knead the dough for 15 mins
Make it a smooth dough and leave it for 11/2 hrs
Round the dough into even sized balls
Flatten into circle
Heat more oil in a pan untill it gets deep frying
Make all the circles
Now slowly drop it into the oil
Leave for a mins
Untill it's puffs up
Turn over this 
Now take it out and transfer into a tissue papper
See how the puri pops up
Serve hot.
