Masala Fried Silver Pomfret (Vavval Fish)


Masala fried silver pomfert recipe is masala indo chinese fried vertion of fish. It has chinese flavours and spices makes is so yum.. yum.. yummy...The masala that penetrates deep into the fish and makes it more tasty... Loved each bite of it tasty fish, I served whole fried fish with chinese flavour, makes a stylish starter to your family. 

So try this fancy masala fish recipe and get something different taste from it................. 


Preparation time : 15 mins
Frying time : 7 mins
Cooking time : 8 mins
Serve - 2 to 4

INGREDIENTS :

Onion - 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 spn
Chilli powder - 1 spn
Pepper powder - 1 spn
Tomato sauce - 1 spn
Salt - 1 tbspn
Sugar - 1 tbspn
Oil - 1 tbspn
Red colour - 1 pinch
Coriander leaves - few
Spring onions - few (green part only)

FOR FRYING :

Silver pomfret / vavval meen - 1 (cleaned) 
Turmeric powder - 1 spn
Lemon - 1 
Oil for frying

Method :

  • First clean the fish and make a deep slashes on it.
  • In a bowl add lemon, salt, turmeric and mix them 
  • And marinate the masala on the fish and into the cavity too, massage the fish well on both sides and leave it to sit for 10 mins.
  • Once it marinated fry it on the heated oil and kept it aside.
  • In a kadai add oil, and chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, fry them till brown.
  • Now add chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, sugar, and toss them.
  • Add a pinch of red colour, tomato sauce and saute well.
  • Add lay the fried fish over the masala and toss it carefully.
  • Atlast add coriander leaves and spring onions too. 
  • Now it's ready to serve. 

PICTORIAL :


Take your frying items
Add lemon, turmeric
Add in salt
Marinate the masala over the fish and in the cavity too
Massage the fish on both sides
Fry the fish in a heated oil
Fry like this
Take your ingredients
Heat oilin a pan and add some onions
Add in ginger and garlic paste.. 
Saute it till brown
Add in chilli powder
Add in pepper powder
Add a touch of salt and sugar
Then add red colour and tomato sauce
Mix well
Lay the fried fish over the masala and spooned some masala over the fish well
Add coriander leaves, spring onions and toss it lightly
All done
Serve it hot with lemon wedges
