Idiyappam is one of my favorite dishes and i used to prepare it every now and then. I desided to prepare it some more different so i checked for the other ingredients and to my delight i found a pack of ragi flour. What next ? I started preparing ragi idiyappam. Serve - 3 to 4
INGREDIENTS :
Ragi idiyappam / finger millet string hoppers - 7 (squeeze)
Shallots / small onins - 15 (chopped)
Green chilli - 3 (chopped)
Ginger - a small piece (chopped)
Mustard - 1/2 spn
Urad dal - 1/2 spn
Cumin seeds - 1/2 spn
Bengal gram - 1 spn
Curry leaves - few
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Method :
- Squeeze all the millet strings first and prepare your ingredients.
- In a kadai add in oil, mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, ginger, bengal gram, chillies, curry leaves,and toss it well.
- Again add onions, then toss it well untill it became transperant.
- Now add squeezed millet strings to that and mix well.
- Then add grated coconut and mix well.
- Now it's ready to serve

Squeeze the strings with your hands
Take your ingredients
Heat oil in a pan
Add in mustard, urad dal
Add in cumin and chopped ginger
Then add in bengal gram
Add in chilli and chillies
Chopped onions
Toss well untill transperant
Add in millet strings
Toss evenly with some coconut
And i also add some more coconut to that
