Tamarind thuvaiyal (puli thovayal)


Anty makes this thogayal when ever she makes curd rice. The spicyness, nuttyness and tangyness go well with the yummy curd rice. I have already posted curd rice recipe, check that ? And i post variety of thogayal in my blog soon....Iam sure that combination will be new to you and will make you all wonder......plz try it...........and let me know how it turned out for you..........

Preparation time : 5 mins
Serve - 3 to 4

INGREDIENTS :

Red chilli  - 7
Coconut - 1/2 cup (grated)
Garlic - 1 (cloves)
Tamarind - 1 small pinch
Curry leaves - few
Salt - 1 tspn
Gingelly oil - 2 spn
Water - few

METHOD :

  • Heat oil in a kadai and add red chillies, curry leaves, grated coconut, and fry them till light brown.
  • Let them to cool and put it on the blender and add garlic, tamarind, salt and grind into paste by adding little amount of water to it.
  • Now it's ready it is well gone with the curd rice and dal rice. Click curd rice to view.
  • Transfer into the serving bowl and serve.



PICTORIAL :


Take your ingredients
In a kadai add oil
Red chillies
Curry leaves
Grated coconut
Roast it in the oil and let them cool for 5 mins
Pour it into the mixer
By adding garlic
Tamarind
Some salt and grind it into a paste
Now it's ready to serve
