There are many north indian recipe available using kasuri methi. I found methi in the vegetable shop today. The tender and greenish colour methi attracter me, So I brought a bunch of it. Started thinking what to make using this leaves and finally decided to make a kootu with that. It came out very well. so you also try this simple recipe and match it with Ennai kathirikai pulli kuzhambu which I post in my blog.........

INGREDIENTS :
Fenugreek leaves / Vendhaya keerai - 1 bunch
Toor dal - 1/2 cup (boiled)
Toor dal - 1/2 cup (boiled)
Onion - 2 small (chopped)
Coconut oil - 1 tspn
Mustard - 1/2 tspn
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
FOR GRINDING :
Red chilli - 4 nos
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tspn
Garlic - 1 cloves
METHOD :
- Pick the leaves, chopped it very finely and clean the greens in large amount of water and set aside.
- Boil the dal in a pressure cooker, and keep aside.
- Grind the grinding items into coarse powder.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, and allow to crackle.
- Now add chopped onion and toss it well.
- Add then chopped greens allow to cook it for 3 mins.
- Untill the greens are half cooked.
- Add in masala, boiled dal, grated coconut, and salt. Mash the dal along with the greens.
- Now saute it well, for 5 min. Untill the dal mix evenly to the greens.
- Now it's ready to serve with ennai kathirikkai puli kuzhambu.
- Click Ennai kathirikkai puli kuzhambu to view.

Wash it well
Cut the onions
Add mustard in a kadai
Add in chopped onion
Add in chopped greens
Toss well
Now add masala
Grated coconut
Then add boiled dal
Now add salt and mix it well
Now it's ready
Serve hot
