Thalicha Mor / Spicy Butter Milk / Mor Chaar


My hubby love Thalicha mor / Mor chaar / Spicy butter milk and it is favourite any time beverages... Had chilled in the summer or at room temperature during all other months, We need few mins to prepare this beverages and easy one even beginners can prepared this recipe... 


In my village, the farmers back from the fields will be welcomed by this thalicha mor only. It best match with white rice and pottu kadalai thogayal. The relishing taste, will be a treat for the taste buds as well a coolant for our body. You too can feel......it up. This butter milk is very good for health and especially for diabetics as it is fat free.



So try this at home especially in summer and comments about the recipe, how it turns out from you...

Preparation time : 5 mins
Cooking time : 15 mins
Serve - 5

INGREDIENTS : 

Hunk curd / yogurt - 1 cup
Water - 3 cup
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Salt - sa per taste

FOR TEMPER :

Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Dried red chilli - 4 nos (broken)
Curry leaves - few (chopped)

METHOD :

  • Take thick yogurt in a wide bowl..
  • Beat the yogurt with 3 cup of water. 
  • Add in salt and asafoetida and mix it well.
  • In a frying pan heat oil, add mustard and urad dal, after it splutters add the broken dried chillies and curry leaves too and toss lightly and then off the stove.
  • Now pour the butter milk in to the tempered item. Give a mix..
  • Ready to serve with white rice and pottu kadalai thogayal.
  • Click pottu kadalai thogayal to view.

PICTORIAL :

Take your ingredients
Beat the curd
Add in water 
Add in salt
Then add asafoetida
Mix well, the butter milk is ready
Add oil in the kadai
Add in mustard, urad dal
Broken red chillies
Add in curry leaves
Toss it well untill it became brown
Then pour the butter milk 
Now it's ready
Serve
